SmartStrand Carpet Passes the Black Rhino Test

Mohawk Industries teamed with the Birmingham Zoo in Alabama to put its SmartStrand carpet to the mightiest tests of stain resistance and durability. The carpet was installed in the indoor enclosure of a 2,800-pound rhinoceros.
Ricko the Rhino spent two weeks in the enclosure eating, sleeping and rolling his 50-pound ball around and doing things that just come naturally.
