BrightStar Healthcare of DuPage-Wheaton has acquired the Home Care clients and caregivers of Always There Resources to nearly double in size and services. BrightStar, locally owned and operated by Jim and Judy Flickinger, provides medical and non-medical Home Care. Always There, formerly owned by Nat Truit since 2006, has provided premium in-home non-medical care.

“It’s a logical combining of resources,” says Jim Flickinger. “The premium care offered by Always There to help seniors continue to live in their homes will be enhanced by the medical services BrightStar can add in the future.”

BrightStar has assumed all personnel, including Primary Care Manager Susan Wolski, MSW, and Care Manager Hanneke Schiffleger, who will continue to be the prime contact and managers for all Always There clients.

BriteStar offers home care to seniors, new mothers, and patients recovering from surgery or illness. The company also works with pediatric and worker compensation cases, long term care and Veteran clients, as well as private trust and public guardian cases.

Companionship care, live-in caregivers, in-home blood draws, injections, errands and other personal services are also available.
“BrightStar caregivers are hired locally and work under local supervision by a company that is locally owned,” says Flickinger. “We offer ‘live’ support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week–with a real person answering the phone who can help,” he says.
