Meet Comic Book Artists at Comic Book, Toy & Pop Culture Show

Comic book fans take note. Special guest appearances by some top artists and authors will be featured at the Comic Book, Toy & Pop Culture Show at the DuPage County Fairgrounds on Saturday, March 20. The event will have Golden, Silver and Bronze-age comics and collectible toys of all kinds. The show is held in conjunction with the monthly Zurko Antique & Collectibles Show, at the same time and place.
Comic book guest artists will include Connie Persampieri, Art Baltizar, Russell Lissau, and Scott Beaderstadt. Connie Persampieri specializes in fantasy and gothic art; Art Baltizar is the artist for Teeny Titans and Disney’s Patrick the Wolf Boy; Russell Lissau leads workshops throughout the Chicago area about writing comics. His stories include Batman Strikes!, The 29, and Shrek. Scott Beaderstadt is both an artist and writer. He is the creator and artist for Troll Lords, The Mummy, and many others.
Show hours are Saturday, March 20, 8am-3pm. Admission for both attractions is $5. The DuPage County Fairgrounds is on Manchester Rd., just east of County Farm Rd., Wheaton.
